Often, when preparing for a new child, whether it is the first time or the fourth, we do not pause to consider how we want to show up as parents. We work so hard to consider what is needed for the baby without preparing ourselves for the enormous task of parenting a human being. I would with individual families on aligning parenting practices with the adults in the household and making room for new personalities and needs.
Preparing your home environment for a new or growing family can be overwhelming to say the least. There are a multitude of products out there without much guidance on what is needed for babies and children and what we assume we need because everyone has one.
My work with families is to take a look at your home environment and think through how you want to form this new space to incorporate children (or more children) and their development. We think about possibilities that already exist in your home as well as what might be useful for the future.

“Thank you so much for all of this amazing content!! The detail is incredible, and we’re very grateful for your thoughts on how we can continue a Montessori-like environment for our girls at home! The space and inspiration ideas are so fun, and we are excited to bring these ideas into our home! We are looking forward to digging into the resources you provided and have already begun discussing plans to transform our spaces. We also wanted to let you know that we took your advice on changing the bedtime routine and have already found success. This has been an awesome change that is working really well for us, so thank you again for those thoughts.”

“Working with Courtney has been the best decision we’ve made in creating a Montessori home. She first helped us prepare our space when our daughter was a baby, then returned as she became a toddler and walking to thoughtfully adapt our environment to meet her changing developmental needs.
What I appreciated most was her practical and personalized approach. Instead of encouraging us to buy all new Montessori furniture and materials, she helped us see the potential in what we already had. She thoughtfully repurposed existing furniture, toys, and household items, showing us how small changes could make a big difference. It made Montessori feel sustainable, and achievable for our family. She also explained the “why” behind each suggestion, giving us the confidence to continue adapting our home as our daughter grows.
Watching our daughter confidently engage with her environment has been incredibly rewarding. If you’re looking to create a Montessori-inspired home but aren’t sure where to start or how to thoughtfully evolve your space over time, I wholeheartedly recommend working with Courtney. Her knowledge and genuine care made a lasting impact for our family.” ~Charmagne, multiple home consultations
